Stooksbury Dairy Creamery
Our Story
Hello,
My name is Brant Stooksbury. I was born and raised in Jefferson City, Tennessee, where I grew up on my family’s dairy farm. I graduated from Carson Newman University with a degree in accounting, but I always knew I would continue my full time career at the dairy, helping my father.
Shortly after finishing college I married my wife, Kayla. We are high school sweet hearts that met at an FFA convention in Gatlinburg. Soon after marriage we had our first child, Lyla. My dream was to raise my family the way I was raised, on the farm.
Sadly, dairy farms across the nation are suffering due to financial crisis, and many of them going out of business. For that reason, I decided to start the creamery. Being able to sell my milk directly to customers would allow me to continue dairy farming and provide for my family. As well as supply my community and surrounding areas with delicious farm fresh milk.
At Stooksbury Dairy Creamery, we take great pride in the quality of our milk. Over time the quality of food has decreased due to mass production. Therefore, our milk is not your typical milk. The first thing that makes our milk higher quality is that we do not remove any of the delicious cream. It is truly whole milk. Second, our milk is old fashioned cream line milk. When left undisturbed, our milk will form a beautiful cream layer on top. This actually makes the milk easier to digest and is why we believe so many customers can tolerate our milk versus store bought milk. Third, our milk is heated via vat pasteurization. This means we do not heat our milk as hot as mass milk producers do. Low and slow pasteurization keeps milk's natural probiotics intact and preserves the milk’s texture and taste.
We hope to see you soon. Want to know more about us? Follow us on Facebook/Instagram.
